Discover the Features

As mentioned in the Connect to Partners section, the Icon Bar on the left brings you to each of our software core modules.  As we have already covered, Job Requisitions, in the overview, we will be spending most of this section on covering the various ways you can Find, Submit, and Interact with Candidates.  A Candidate is a copy of a Contact record that is applied to a Job Requisition.  Candidates can either be submitted for review by either internal recruiters, external partners, or individuals via the Public Job Board.

Candidate List

The Candidate list is your typical grid styled UI and features all the comfort of modern UI development.  You can sort, rearrange, filter, add new columns, and maintain all those settings across logins.

Candidate Score Cards

Candidates can also be viewed in tile-card format while inside a job.  I find this particular display the most useful as it contains the concise area with only the necessary details.  Data that is visible can be tailored to the user's needs.  The left example shows a card viewed by a Hiring Manager, while on the right are two cards are more generic lacking confidential information such as payrate.  Candidates are ranked against the skills on the job they are attached and that score is visible in the top right.

Candidate Actions

The Candidate Quick Actions at the top of each tile card allow you to schedule meetings, interviews, and set reminders.  You can record phone calls notes and activity, email the resume, remove/disqualify, and mark the candidates confidential. Our system has a built-in eMail application that is absolutely amazing.  It offers you a free email account that will sync to Outlook or Gmail.  Probably my favorite feature of their email is the ability for me to choose how and what it logs that correspondence to inside the system.  Other products spam your system with all traffic ("Happy Birthday Fred") when all you want to keep a log of is "I'll be there on the 2nd".  Configuring the email to work the way you want is very simple and does not require an IT team to setup.

Candidate Details

In this expanded view you can see the PDF converted version of the resume as well as the parsed version.   You can tab through sections:  Experience, Skills, Files, Notes from those, and Offers.

My favorite tab is the Skills section which allows you to rate this candidate and then it automatically compares this to others in the system.

The creative note system allows you sync commentary on this Candidate, his Contact Record, the Job, or Vendor.

Finding New Candidates

Searching the database potential candidates from prior submissions is painless and simple.  You can add or subtract skills to refine your search and then easily link that contact to this Job if you find a good match.  Worth noting they also have an "Omni-Search" functionality that allows quick searches from anywhere on anything.  Looking for Jobs or Contacts that featured Mobile Device Management professions (MDM), key in MDM and you find any record in the system containing that keyword categorized by the type of document it is (Contact, Job Requisitions, etc).  Both search features are powerful and well executed.

Once you have identified your finalist Candidates you can schedule Interviews in the system.  Interviews get emailed to the Hiring Manager, Vendor or Candidate, and yourself.  The Interview functionality supports both single person and committee styled interviews formats.  Interviews are treated like as unique files in the Renhed system and attached to the sub-menu in the Job Requisition.  A high level overview of your scheduled interviews contains all the necessary information, such as have they accepted the appointment, who are the contacts involved, or have the Hiring Managers voted to move the candidate into the Make Offer stage.

These interview items are placed on your calendar, emailed to the participants with Calendar appointments that have hyperlinks directly to the file.  Once in the Interview file, scoring, note taking, and Candidate Details to Job Description are all easily compared.  Finally, at the bottom of the Interview file is an option to give the candidate a passing or failing grade.  The whole system works simply and effectively.
