Being flexible and willing to learn is a great way to take advantage of opportunities to grow in your career. Meet Leah Brown, MBA, who details how her career has grown from an intern at a travel agency to becoming an executive level financial professional.

Brown learned a lot while working at a company that offered different opportunities every 18 to 24 months. Each role was in accounting and finance and helped Brown develop a wide range of skills, and when Brown was offered the opportunity to advance her skillset to include governmental reporting, she was prepared.

Change is always happening, whether it is technology, software implementation, or even a headcount Brown says. “Your organization is changing so fast. You have to be able to not only do your job but then also figure out how you do it better, faster, cheaper…So you can add that value back to your organization every single day.”
